6:00 PMElectronic communication is essential for sharing Club information quickly and effectively. This policy sets standards for respectful, safe and appropriate communication by Knox United Soccer Club and its members.
This policy applies to Club websites, email, SMS, apps, team chats, WhatsApp groups, social media messaging, online forms, newsletters and any other electronic communication connected to the Club.
Communication with junior players should be directed through parents and guardians. Where direct communication with a child is necessary or approved, a parent, guardian or another authorised adult must be included wherever practical.
One-on-one private messaging with children should be avoided unless there is an immediate safety or welfare reason.
The Club website should contain current and relevant information about registrations, competitions, events, policies and governance. Offensive content or images must not be published.
Members may request the removal of a photo or personal information by contacting the Club.
Email should be used where detailed information is required. SMS or app messages should be brief and suited to urgent or operational updates.
Team apps and group chats are to be used for football, training, match, event and Club-related purposes.
They are not to be used for gossip, personal disputes, political arguments, offensive jokes, bullying or harassment. Administrators may remove posts or participants that breach this policy.
The Club may remove content, restrict access to platforms, warn members, refer matters to the Committee or take disciplinary action under the Club's Code of Conduct.
Serious matters may be referred to Football Victoria, police or other relevant authorities.
