Miniroos

U8 - U11

MiniRoos Football provides opportunities for boys and girls of all abilities to play small sided games at the weekend.

The smaller fields, modified rules and fewer players mean a more enjoyable game with more opportunities to touch the ball and more opportunities to score goals, once again increasing the likelihood of an overall positive experience.

As your child progresses through the various age groups they will be introduced to playing environments that most suit their stage of development and prepare them for the transition to 11v11 football when the time comes.

MiniRoos Football at Knox United SC is for boys and girls aged from U8 through to U11.

Training would be once (1) a week.

Matchdays are on Sunday mornings.

Game formats are as follows;

  • U8 & 9

  • 7v7 (4subs)

  • 1/4 pitch, 20 minute halves

  • U10 & 11

  • 9v9 (5subs)

  • 1/2 pitch, 25 minute halves

Teams are graded as per below:

  • Kangaroos → strong grasp of football skills

  • Wallabies → beginning to/or developing their football skills

  • Joeys → little or no previous experience

  • Note : Regrading of teams takes place at conclusion of Round 3.

Knox United Soccer Club is run and organised by volunteers and as such we rely on the support of all parents to participate in supporting the teams to setup pitches, referee games, bring oranges and engage in team and club social functions.
