KNOX UNITED SOCCER CLUB 2010 REGISTRATION FAQ’sFOR ALL UPDATES ON REGISTRATIONS, TRAINING & PLAYING TIMES, PLEASE CHECK OUR WEBSITE REGULARLY – www.knoxunited.com What does my registration fee entitle me to? The registration fee covers such items as FFV registration and insurance, uniforms, equipment and other expenses associated with the operation of the club. For a more detailed list of costs associated with operating the club, please refer to the Club Handbook (available online from February 15th). Can I pay with EFTPOS or Credit Card on Registration Day? Yes. At this year’s Registration Day, we can now offer payment of Registration Fees via EFTPOS and Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard ONLY). Note that Credit Card payments incur a 2.5% surcharge. When do fees have to be paid by? We will not be accepting registrations without payment. Unless other arrangements have been made with the Club Treasurer, all player fees need to be paid in full before March 13th 2010. Players who have not paid in full by that date will not be permitted to play. Why have fees increased in 2010? Whilst all efforts are taken to minimise the cost of enjoying football with KUSC, we have had to increase fees to cover the sizeable jump in costs that we incur as a club. In particular the increased costs of leasing additional council grounds and private training facilities (such as Waverley Christian College) to cope with the player demand. Why is there now a Capital Works Levy? The Capital Works Levy ($40 per family) has been introduced to help fund projects to facilitate our aim of improving the club’s facilities for all of our players & members. The club committee is currently looking to use money raised from this levy for projects such as:
A refund of the levy can be applied for at the end of the season. The levy will be refunded for any one of the following:
What do I need to provide when registering my child? New player registrations cannot be accepted if full documentation has not been provided.
Please note if you were registered in 2009 with Knox United, you are only required to bring 1 x passport photo, a completed registration form and payment (ie. no proof of age will be required). Please note if you were registered in 2009 with another club, you are required to bring 2 x passport photos, proof of age, a completed registration form, confirmation of your FFA 8 digit ID and payment. Do I need to provide proof of age? Children who have not been previously registered in the FFV junior competition will need to provide a copy of their proof of age. This is not optional. If the proof of age has not been provided we will not be registering the child to play. Acceptable proof of age documents include birth certificate or passport. The original does not need to be provided, a photocopy will suffice. Is the Registration Fee refundable? Full refunds will be issued to players who cannot be registered with the club for any reason eg: lack of numbers. De-registration/transfer from the club/cancellation by any player (including junior players) will require clearance from the club. The player will forfeit the FFV Registration Fee as applicable and a $15 Office Administration fee as a minimum & will forfeit the whole player registration fee if the player has played any games. Do I need a transfer form if I come from a different club? Transfer forms are not required for junior players. If a new player comes to Knox United Soccer Club we will need to be told which club, if any, the player last played at. This will enable us to then transfer the player from that club to Knox United Soccer Club. As a courtesy, we would ask that you inform the other club of your intent to transfer the player. Transfers are treated as new registrations so the same documentation is required (registration form, passport size photo, proof of age and confirmation of the players FFA 8 digit number. How do I know what age group my child is eligible for?
On what days is training held? The timing & frequency of training nights will depend on the coach’s availability with scheduling of teams to be completed once all information from Registration Day has been collected. It is proposed to have the training session at our home ground, however availability of the ground and water restrictions may force us to source an alternative (but local) location/s. On what days are matchdays? We expect that all teams (with the exception of SSF Under 7’s) will be playing on Sunday’s, however this will need to be confirmed by FFV once teams have been entered for this year’s competition. Is my son/daughter guaranteed playing time on match day? As a club, we cannot guarantee playing time on match day as this is up to the individual discretion of the team coach. When can I collect my sons/daughter’s training top? The club expects training tops to be available to all players by the beginning of March.
